In our first policy report, the Paterson Prevention Project team conducted complex statistical analysis to examine the availability of neighborhood resources on absenteeism and neighborhood outcomes on Paterson schools compared to surrounding other schools in Passaic County, NJ.

Of the 16 towns in the county, Paterson had the worse educational outcomes, highest rates of absenteeism, and lowest levels of neighborhood resources.

In this report, we provided five recommendations for policymakers and education administrators to improve outcomes for Paterson youth.
