Livia Lazzaro, MA is the Internship Coordinator in the Department of Public Health at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) where she teaches the undergraduate capstone classes, advises students before and during the capstone, coordinates internship placements, and expands partnerships, coaches and prepares students for interviews, assists with preparation of their resumes and cover letters, and promotes professional development for students and alumni.


She also serves as the academic advisor to Public Health minors and as the liaison to alumni. At the SASH Lab, Livia serves as an intern and supports several projects since she started in May 2021.
Livia has over a decade of experience in higher education and blends her passion for education, health, and communication by working on numerous public health initiatives. Livia served as a research assistant for projects addressing social determinants of health including working on projects at a global grant-making foundation in New York City as well as traveling to Haiti to support local maternal and child health projects with data collection and capacity building. Livia also participated in numerous health-related initiatives in the Trenton, NJ area.
Livia holds the Associate’s Degree from Raritan Valley Community College in Communication Studies, Bachelor’s Degree from Bloomfield College in English, Master’s Degree from Montclair State University in Public and Organizational Relations, and anticipates graduation with her Master of Public Health degree from The College of New Jersey in December 2021.
